These implants can be filled with different amounts of saline solution. This affects the experience, inelastic, and appearance of the breast. The implants can be pre filled or can be filled after the placement of the implant in the pocket, hence making a smaller incision for placement possible.

b. Silicone gel-filled implants consist of a silicone outer shell filled with a silicone gel. They are the most commonly used breast implants throughout the world. The incision needed to place these pre filled implants is larger then to place the saline implants.
